Idaho Department of Fish and Game
We have a long history with IDFG and pride ourselves in being one of the “go to” organizations when public input is desired, or when fisheries/water quality projects become viable avenues for our conservation work or financial investment.

Idaho Panhandle National Forest
The US Forest Service in the form of the Idaho Panhandle National Forest is an integral part of our continuing efforts to improve the water quality and fisheries of N. Idaho. NIFC has been involved in a number of critical habitat improvement projects that have seen a significant effect on our local fishing opportunities.

International Fly Fishers Federation
The NIFC is a “club” member of the IFFF and has previously received the prestigeous McKenzie award for our conservation and education efforts. We have also been the beneficiaries of several cash grants for habitat improvement. We encourage individaul IFFF membership for our club members.

Trout Unlimited
Many of our members are also members of Trout Unlimited, and a few are or have been officers in the local chapter, based in Sandpoint, ID Trout Unlimited has very similar goals to those our our own club.

Casting for Recovery
The mission of Casting for Recovery® (CFR) is to enhance the quality of life of women with breast cancer by providing retreats designed to promote and support mental and physical healing. Our program uses counseling, medical education, and instruction in fly fishing to provide an opportunity for women at any age, or stage of treatment, to address survivorship issues. We are committed to socioeconomic and cultural diversity, and our retreats are provided at no cost to participants.

Project Healing Waters
Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) began in 2005 serving wounded military service members at Walter Reed Army Medical Center returning from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Since then, PHWFF has expanded nationwide, establishing its highly successful program in Department of Defense hospitals, Warrior Transition Units, and Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and clinics.
