February 19 @ 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Wet Fly Hour: 5 PM, Dinner: 6 PM
Guest Speaker: Danner Haskins, Owner and Outfitter, Clark Fork Trout
Danner Haskins of Clark Fork Trout will share his perspective on Montana’s Clark Fork River—a fishery with a complicated past that’s steadily improving. The lower Clark Fork, where Danner guides, benefits from ongoing restoration work by organizations like the Clark Fork Coalition and Trout Unlimited, as well as cleanup efforts by Danner’s father’s excavation company. He’ll discuss what it was like to become a business owner at 21, purchasing the outfitting operation and fly shop from the family friends who taught him to fly fish. He’ll share what the fishery offers today and why it deserves a second look from anglers who may still think of it as a damaged river.
